Chef Tawnya “Katsítsyo” Brant grew up and resides on Six Nations in Ontario. She began her culinary career as a girl learning the recipes of the Mohawk Nation in the Longhouse kitchen. Tawnya attended Sir Sanford Fleming College Culinary School and – with 25 years of professional cooking experience – she currently owns and operates “Yawé:ko Foods” specializing in Haudenosaunee foods. Tawnya provides Chef training and everyday cooks the opportunity to learn indigenous food for today’s pallet.
